Saturday we are heading for the UK. Not by the usual method but !! Up through France to Zeebrugge, ferry to Hull. It's Charlotte's 12th birthday and Ellena's 5th.so we want to be there, despite having just seen them.
Across the North Sea in November!....What were we thinking of? We wanted to cut out the long haul up to Yorkshire by congested roads at least one way. At least I can load the car up on the way back with those "essential" items I can't get here. Tea bags and Marmite .
Back via Portsmouth having seen my Mum.

Have a wonderful and safe trip. I guess using the Chunnel depends on where you are going in the UK. A ferry across the North Sea during bad weather doesn't sound like a lot of fun. And it sounds like winter is definitely arriving if you are dealing with snow already. But a journey, even a mad crazy one, for such a fun occasion is definitely worth it. How long will you be gone?

we shall leave here late morning tomorrow. for a decent crossing on Monday night. We've not done the Zeebrugge (Belgium) to Hull before, normally we go across the channel, either the tunnel or one of the ferry crossings to Portsmouth. My case is packed plus my little craft bag with the 1st of the Cottage of the Month designs (thanks to Carole for these ) as I thought some thing to take my attention if the weather gets rough!!
