Rowandean embroidery - I've finished it! Woo hoo!

Post by phoebefreckle »

This has been on the frame for ages. I dusted it off and stitched the wall, small fence and grass on a Stitch Day recently.

   Wonderful!!! I love all those textures and different stitches!

One of these days I must get one of those designs .....preferably finished by 'someone else'

Actually I'd love to do one, but I can't see it happening somehow! :?

Ooohh, this I just so lovely. Such nice stitching & a beautiful scenic picture. I've often looked at the Rowandean items & been tempted but never got round to ordering one. Looking forward to seeing it finished :whoop: :applesauce: :)

I like the chunky autumnal tree, what thread did you use for that?

Love this design and you've done so much and so lovely.

I have a Rowandean in my stash somewhere. I've had it for many years and have never actually put in the first stitch but I live in hope. :D

Thank you all for the lovely comments, keeps me motivated to keep stitching. When I'm working on this it grows quickly, but it's just big and not really a sit on the sofa lap piece. My Mum has done the same picture, it's been finished and framed for a few years now. I should confess that I've owned mine for longer than her! :?

Mabel - the tree yarn is a chunky, slubby, multicoloured one, then couched in place with a thinner, different coloured yarn. Hope that makes sense x
