I have a few acquisitions since I was last with you. It was my birthday last week and my wonderful best friend and her family gave me a credit note for a local framers to get one of my finished projects framed!! The only problem now is to choose which one!!

I was also given this from my sister:

The present from my husband (for Christmas as well) is kitting up my Butterfly Lace Chatelaine!!

Coincidentally I was RAKed last week the following HAED. It is A Stitch in Time by Aimee Stewart:

What awesome gifts!!! I have looked at "A Stitch in Time" very often, but can only handle one Aimee Stewart at a time. I broke my "no new HAED charts" to get it at the last sale. I can't wait to see your start on any of the projects you mentioned. Kitting up a chatelaine is an awesome gift too. I'd say you had a Stitcher's Dream Birthday!

I am happy you are enjoying them Wendy! If I can ever get my act together and stitch the blue tit one I can send you that one as well. The stitching of this bird series has turned into a 2 year plus project. I keep getting distracted by other shiny new patterns.

My Knitting & Stitching Show haul is mostly goldwork this year - the first pic shows my pre-order from Golden Hinde with a few things added at the Show (the coloured purls, and some #2 pearl purl for theJacobean goldwork), the second shows two packets of fine smooth sadi (the Indian version of smooth purl) and a skein of hand-dyed perle #16 from Chameleon, whose Shades of Africa overdyed silks I love.
Pretty, aren't they  ?
