Got a bit if stitching done this week.

I don't know when I can get to the craft store so I decided to start with material on hand, so this is being done on 14 ct Aida.

It's all kitted up and just waiting for me to start.

Great progress on the new stocking! And it looks like you are longing for your Starry Night. A good motivator for sticking with the stocking though I'm sure it is also fun to stitch!

I thought I had edited the first post, to change the updated date, but instead I must have clicked on quote.

But, I am missing working on Starry Night. The stocking I'm working on is over two, and if I switch back and forth I will make mistakes.

The shower is early in August. This will not be done in time.



I hate stitching white on white. But I love the textured look it is giving this picture.

Years ago the grandmother to be had asked me about making some stockings, and asked how much I'd charge. When I told her, she decided not to order any. So when she reraised the subject because she does want a stocking for her grandchild, she was quite thrilled to find out it is MY gift to them.

I asked her if she thought her daughter in law would be upset that I give an unfinished stocking at the shower and take it back to finish. She said no, it would be fine. I expect to have it done by Christmas though.
