The Butterfly Ball - Updated 2016-06-13

Post by agent_clone »

So I'm stitching The Butterfly Ball by Aimee Stewart found at http://heavenandearthdesigns.com/index. ... s_id=10290

I started it in November last year, however I had not completed much before the start of this year (maybe a quarter of whats there?) as I was aiming to get my previous main project finished before the end of the year. I also ended up going and purchasing a floor stand to do this with as I was finding that there was far too much excess fabric on my Q-Snaps for my preference. I'm hoping to finish it sometime in the next decade... Currently it is what I am calling confetti hell and progress is slow...

I have done this so far:

:applesauce: :applesauce: Lovely start! I love her designs and this is going to be beautiful. All that confetti is going to be worth it. And the decade will probably go by faster than you expect

Think that would give me the screaming hab-dabs. Looks beautiful but so complex...

Good start.

The comment "confetti hell" would be a good description of it. However it will be well worth it in the end and you have made a really great start to it. Looking forward to more updates.

I've finally essentially finished the first page (the few stitches left have associated bits on other pages) I feel my progress was a bit slow over the last month and a bit however some stuff happened late January month so I wasn't in the mood for stitching (and was too tired for the 25 count). The confetti really didn't help much wtih speed... Page 2 looks to have less confetti on the bottom half of the page which is good.

:applesauce: :applesauce: Beautiful update and good progress! With all that confetti it just takes a lot longer to stitch, but the result is always worth the time. Definitely looking forward to your updates!!

Love the mix of colours in this one and I can sympathise over the confetti, which is a pain to do but oh so worth it. A lovely update. :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:

I have to agree it looks like "confetti hell" but it also looks amazing and the "hell" will be well worth it.

When I start to get crazy with the high confetti areas of my HAED, Lobo, I take a step away from it and look at it from a distance. Usually, seeing how the confetti part looks so much like real fur, makes it worth it, and I return to it the next night with a renewed energy.

Look forward to seeing your next update.

P.S. - I will follow your progress for the next decade if you follow mine @rotfl:

Oh, I agree it looks pretty, the detail is why I chose the regular size rather than the mini (I felt that the mini lost a lot of detail which is vital to this piece). Its just that the first page took me longer than I expected! And there are so many things that I want to stitch but only so much time to do it in!

I'm on the must resist buying things as I have enough to stitch to last me a good long time!

Your Lobo is looking good mouselady.

An update for what I have done over the last month and a bit. I expect it will be a couple of months or so at least before I post an update to this as I will be unable to stitch on it for the next few weeks.
