I am jealous -- I have always wanted to stitch an Old World map, but have promised myself to complete all my WIP's (too much stash) Looking forward to your updates and your stitching is looking wonderful. :applesauce:

Thank you so much everyone for kind comments. Here is another update.

I am itching to start my Big Cats so I think I'm going to rotate between the two. This is something I've never done before and had never occurred to me before finding you lovely people. I have always done one project at a time. How long do you work on a project before you rotate?

:applesauce: :applesauce: Lovely update!! I was also (and many of us were) one project at a time stitchers until joining the forum and finding out that it was legal to work on more than one at a time and often kept our stitchy bugs with us because they never get bored. I went slightly to the other end of the spectrum but have never loved stitching more. I have tried a number of systems to work with my projects from a very strict rotation to a "whoever yells loudest" gets my attention. Right now I am pretty much stitching non HAED projects on the week-ends with a focus on a wedding sampler I will be giving as a gift in the future. Have several other samplers and Hardanger designs for the week-ends also once I get a decent amount done on the sampler. During the week I stitch on HAEDs. Two I hope to have as gifts sometime so I tend to work on one of those and switch to a non gift piece and then to a gift. How long I stick with one depends on when I start "hearing" a different one yell.
I hope this makes sense. The only rule I know about rotating projects is to find what works for you.

This project is coming along nicely. Thank you for sharing your picture. :D

As for your question about rotating, I am currently not rotating as I just feel like I need to finish a project. I have rotated projects in the past and will again in the future. I have found finishing a page before rotating to the next project to be the thing that works for me. You may want to try a few different ways of rotating and then stick with what you enjoy the most.

Same here. I've tried a strict rotation, one week per WIP, and it worked for awhile. I found it was a bit too regimented for me, so now my rotation is pretty much what is screaming the loudest.

This is so great! I just love the colors on this piece.

I took a two-month break from my own world map to do Christmas presents, and it was a welcome break. I still have a few small kits to do for gifting this upcoming Christmas, but I'm back to working on my map and will save the kits until I need a small break. (I'm hoping to finish the row I'm working on before mid-February, which is my one-year point since I began the project, so no more breaks until then!).

This is such a lovely map!

I have 2 things on the go at one time...a Hardanger design and a cross stitch one. Any more of that is beyond my poor Wombat brain to keep up my interest! I've box of UFO's  and one day they'll see the light of day again!

I love watching your progress on the map. I am a one a time stitcher since I am afraid of having lots of projects started and none completed.
