Told my daughter that y'all want to see pics of her work and she's so excited! We'll get a thread started on that tonight.

Carole - your cats are the highlights of your posts to me! I can barely take a step without a feline butting in, so look forward to a lot more cat tails!

Picked up two magazines at WalMart today. World of Cross stitch ( with freebie-2 shades of maderia and a booklet of Christmas charts to use them on) and Cross stitch Gold. Some gorgeous charts, too bad I didn't get them earlier. But I can use the charts next year..A hedgehog in a stocking and a beautiful Christmas ball wreath,. $25 for the pair, but it was a nice treat

Every time I see this one, I want it. Today I was Hobby Lobby (for one skein of floss!) and saw it again - now it's mine!

I don't when I'll start it, but I really, really love it.

I got some gilt spangles, gold leather and yellow felt for Mables upcomming SAL

Ordered it one week ago from Berlin embroidery, it arrived today!

Debby I still have that chart here. I did it once for one of my step grandchildren and loved it. I found the bottom right sqiggly bit a challenge though.

Cairee I just can't imagine using leather or even finding where I can buy it without huge losses in currency exchange. Might just substitute something else for that. Time will tell.

I found a picture of the left gingerbread house in a magazine, and just HAD to get it

So today I went to one of the many craft shops in Moscow and was so happy that they had it in stock. But

then I also saw the other one, and couldn't decide, so I just got them both.

Those are so cute - I bet they'll be fun to stitch. And of course you had to get both of them...that goes without saying.

Moscow has a lot of craft stores??? More reason for me to visit.

both will be stitched on plastic canvas (not sure how I feel about that though) and then assembled.

Yes Debby, there are quite a lot, big and small ones! Stitching or rather crafting is so much more famous here, though I can only speak for Germany. But there are even a few shops that I have seen which are specialized only in stitching, whereas the big ones have all the stuff for knitting, decoupache and so on.

These came last week, a special order from Sparklies for the SAL. I also got a lovely light brown (think extremely milky coffee) from Chromatic Alchemy (Sam)
