Those are absolutely beautiful and works of art. I agree with Serinde that they must be eaten and appreciated too but what a shame it would be to spoil them by cutting them up. She does have a reall talent for this I can't stop drooling!!
Wow, those look so tempting! I'd better come over, Rose... it's not far, is it?
I've always had a mild interest in doing that (you know, in the back of my head) and even went to a culinary school here in the valley to check out the program. But it's so ridiculously expensive... 14K if you want the certificate and 41K if you want the associate's. And I can't pay my rent... sheesh!
But wow, that looks like so much fun. I bet it's even more fun to eat!
They look wonderful! My sister-in-law's sister went to culinary school in New York. She recently did desserts for my nephew's open house. Everything looked nice, but definitely could have used more flavor. Granted, some of her recipes were lactose-free for my other nephew. My hubby had some of the cake that she made, and hardly finished it. He said that he was spoiled by my cakes! My brother-in-law wasn't thrilled with the desserts, either. He asked us about the cakes the next day, and told us how he felt about them. I was flattered that they like my cakes and icing better than someone who went to school , but my cakes are a box mix. (Of course, no one believes us!) My icing is made from scratch, though. I hope she enjoys her externship and that it works out well!

Wonderful cakes Rose, you must be very, very proud of your daughter. I would love to do a course like this one day, but know that I just don't have the talent. Do keep us posted on how she gets on with her externship - a speciality cake shop sounds like heaven!!!

I hope you don't mind, Rose if I also show my desserts here.
I made some strawberry jam filled buns (cut them in the middle so you can see the filling) and cinnamon rolls.
