I've been on this forum a long time and have never figured out how to play this bingo game, lol! Being from Colorado, it piqued my interest! I, too am stumped about Disneyland.....unless it is a metaphor for the Broncos and the rollercoaster ride they tend to give the fans!

Okay, here we go; good luck everyone. The first two numbers are:

4 - Cog Rail
A cog railway uses a cog wheel to mesh into a center rail rack to climb steeper grades than standard adhesion railways. This Cog Rail starts at the train station in Manitou Springs and climbs to the top of Pikes Peak. The top speed is about 9mph and the round trip takes a little over three hours. Guests are given about 40 minutes at the top before they have to re-board for the return trip. One reason for the short time on top is that many people start to get altitude sickness after about 30 minutes. Some videos of the Cog Rail can be viewed here:
http://www.cograilway.com/videos.asp" target="_blank

17 - Colorado Cherry Company
I had to include this because they have the best cherry pies! The "cherry store" is in Loveland on the way to/from Estes Park, right along the Big Thompson River. It made it through the 2013 flood almost unscathed, but there was no way to get there. A second location is in Lyons and was also a victim of the 2013 flood. Did I mention they have the best cherry pies? :-)

:( None for me on this first day but :whoop: what fantastic views in the videos about the Cog Rail. I thought the summer views were awesome until I looked at the winter views. I cannot begin to imagine being one of the guys working that snow plow. Awesome!

Today's numbers:

14 - Raptor Center
The Raptor Center in Fort Collins is part of the CSU (Colorado State University) Environmental Learning Center and houses several raptors that due to injuries, cannot be released into the wild. They are cared for and are fed their natural prey, even though they can't hunt it down themselves. I've been there for a feeding and while it was very interesting to see, it's not for the squeamish. The ELC, which includes the Raptor Center, covers about 212 acres along the Cache la Poudre River.

26 - Colorado Springs
About 60 miles south of Denver you'll find the fabulous city of Colorado Springs, home of Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, the Air Force Academy, and so much more, including Ruth's Stitchery (primarily a quilt shop but she has tons and fibers and fabrics and charts, and they'll hem your fabby while you wait). Usually just called The Springs by Coloradoans, the city has a population of about 439,900 and covers about 186 square miles. Like much of Colorado, the climate is highly changeable, but is usually mild; it's also one of the most lightning strike areas in the United States, so pay attention to the weather!. July and August are the main months for lightning and thunderstorms; the the first freeze usually occurs in early October and the last freeze in early May. In a 2011 report, the top four employers in the Springs were all military (Fort Carson, Peterson Air Force Base, Schriever Air Force Base, and the Air Force Academy).

A fun place to relax is the Golden Bee at The Broadmoor Hotel. It's a complete 19th century English pub that was reassembled at The Broadmoor in the 1960's and offers authentic pub fare and English charm, complete with a ragtime piano player and sing-along time, with song books provided. And they throw little sticky bees at you!

8 - Denver Zoo
The Denver Zoo is, as the name suggests, in Denver. It's not a huge zoo, which means you can knock it out in two or three hours. One of my favorite parts of the zoo is the Toyota Elephant Passage, which has ten miles of trails on ten acres. Asian elephants, greater one-horned rhinos and Malayan tapirs can rotate among five unique t habitats with a sixth yard exclusively for the tapirs. Mud wallows, scratching trees, shade structures and more than one million gallons of water for swimming and bathing have been developed to ensure active and healthy animals.

18 - Cameron Pass
Only 65 miles west of Fort Collins, Cameron Pass is a popular snowshoeing and cross country skiing destination. The elevation is 10,276 feet and trust me, it's cold in the winter. My first snowshoeing outing was at Cameron Pass on New Year's Day 2013 and the temperature was 9°F, WITHOUT the wind chill figured in. Some areas are only accessible when covered with snow, and it's so beautiful it's worth suffering through the cold.

Your next two numbers are:

7 - Coors Field
The home of the Colorado Rockies (who are NOT having a good season but I love them anyway), located in LoDo (Lower Downtown Denver). If you sit in the row of purple seats, you will be 5,280 feet above sea level. And if your seats are on the 1st base side, you'll be able to watch some beautiful sunsets as the sun slips behind the Rocky Mountains.

12 - Budweiser Clydesdales
Some of my favorite animals, the Budweiser Clydesdales used to live and train at the Budweiser Brewery here in Fort Collins. In 2010, Anheuser consolidated the training centers, so although the west coast hitch calls Fort Collins home, the horses aren't home that often (very busy schedules). When they are, though, if you're lucky, you can see them out in their pasture.
