Just seen this.

Incredible to have such persistence, if nothing else!
However, it looks simply perfect. 205k stitches?!!?

When did you start? Get the feeling you must average around 200 stitches per day, day in, day out, week in, week out. Giving a mere 4 year job. Phew!

My admiration is boundless.

Regards,

Richard.

Thanks for all the lovely comments everyone

Hi Richard, I started this in January 2010. The whole piece is 220800 stitches!
For the first two years or so I didn't work on it much (maybe 3-5 short sessions a week).
In 2012 I got more into it and started stitching everyday.
Some days I stitch a lot, some days I stitch a little.
No matter how many stitches, I do a bit everyday and enjoy it!

I work on other projects every now and then to break it up...
However, this has been my main focus which seems to be a very effective way of working for me.

This is definitely one of the most detailed parts of the chart Megan (aside from her face and hair).
All the confetti has been driving me a bit crazy, but on the upside its does look effective.

Yes amethyst1312! I can not wait to get to the end... But I think I will feel sad because I have enjoyed the process of stitching it sooo much and the bright colors... It will be nice to work on something different though.

I’ve almost finished stitching another two pages. This is getting closer to the finish now with about three pages left!

It's finished!!! :whoop: It was the best feeling ever when I filled in the last stitch :D The stitched area is 17 and a half inches by 24 inches. It still needs a wash (feeling a bit anxious about doing that though) and I will get it framed... The picture is taken outside in the sun/natural light. You can even see the stitches with the higher resolution photo :)
