Finally found fabric that I liked for the door sign and hand stitched it into a hanging tonight and I think it turned out great for my first time doing it, anyway here is the front and back

Thanks for all your lovely comments they really help push me to continue and I don't think I would of had the confidence to try and sew the door sign if it wasn't for all the nice people on here and the helpful posts

What a lovely finish. Your daughter will love this forever! I hope you have a lot of different alphabets around because I'm going to guess that you will be hearing requests for more door signs with different themes as she gets older.

So cute! I love the lettering. I'm going to have to make one for DGD's room. I made several for a friend quite a few years ago for her three DGDs. I just made the names, not the word "room".

, finally finished the backstitch and french knots on the outfit so can start on the rest of it lol and my puddles of love will be put on hold for a while as my friend has just announced that she is expecting her first baby in September so I will be doing a sampler for her I was thinking of doing the tiny feet one from vervaco has anyone done it before? It looks great when finished but I think all the sepia tones may drive me crazy
