First time I've seen this thread and I love it! My daughter is 17 months so I hope she'll grow up to be a Miss Future Stitcher too!

Oh boy this is a few months back. Miss Future Stitcher had a project do in school. It was to celebrate 100 days of school. She chose to do 100 stitches and designed them to be a rainbow. Only... with 6 colors she couldn't break them down into even numbers.. so she used green canvass and left a spot bare so the canvass could represent green.. I was pretty proud she came up with that solution herself!

:applesauce: :applesauce: Not only is Miss Future Stitcher absolutely adorable, her project is lovely (I know you will give her the feedback) and very well done and very well thought out. I would think she got an A+ at the very least. Always love seeing her stitching!

Good lord, is that really the same child?!

I'm not surprised you're proud of her idea. Sounds like she has more common sense than some adults I know.

Miss Future Stitcher noticed I was browsing the forum yesterday was as excited to be back as I am  She asked to show off her latest piece. This is the very first piece completed where she had to read a pattern. She was very successful at it. :whoop:

She told me she wants her next piece to be a rose... Any suggestions on a simple rose pattern?

:whoop: :whoop: :whoop: What an adorable stitcher!!! And given the piece that she just finished by herself I don't think she is a Future Stitcher I think she is a Stitcher Now!!! Her peace symbol is beautiful
I have a pattern that includes the stem but is only 5 colors and the :rose: is only two colors. The rose itself is about 40 x 40. I don't know if it would be too complicated or not. It is meant for stitching on waste canvass on sweatshirt, but I don't see why it can't just be stitched. I have no idea how I remembered it, since I haven't looked at that booklet in years. PM me your address if you are interested. I'm sure some others will know some other charts as well!

Carole,
I think you're right! She definitely has her own stitchy bug and budding skills. I guess she has definitely advanced to Miss Stitcher
As for the rose pattern, she is very impatient like myself  We found an easy one enough online, but she apparently was wanting to make one as large as my starry night (which is roughly 3ftx3ft.. but I like how she dreams big!

Oh my this young lady will go places with her big dreams. If you don't aim high you don't get anywhere. She is so very good at x=stitching as well as looking cute. She has certainly done very well with this piece & can't wait to see the rose she does :applesauce: :applesauce: :D

There is always this Rose which isn't quite as large as Starry Night but has a lovely Rose and a fairy too. I like how she dreams big too! Also available as a mini.

The advantage of starting out this young and wanting to stitch BAPs is that you have a chance of finishing several during one's lifetime.
