I just got the prettiest Christmas card from Sally, together with a lovely long letter -- thank you so much! Here is the card:

That was the surprise -- and this is the coincidence: here is the card again, this time with an ornament I made some years ago and which is on our Christmas tree at this moment

Both are beautiful! And very clever of Sally to know what design you would love and stitch that one for the card!

I am totally amazed at this. As I wrote to you I have no idea where the design came from and now I know.

Love your ornament on its pretty fabric with the gorgeous edging.

Still shaking my head at this. My Grandfather often said "there is nothing new under the sun" and I agree.

So glad it got there safely.

I think I got it from a second-hand magazine; there were two or three different ones, and I made two ornaments with them. It was lovely to see your whit-on-blue version which I seem to remember is how they were originally intended -- and it looks so crisp and fresh in its white card!
