Oslo is a version of Hardanger fabric, Sally -- it is "mercerised", a process which makes it softer and shinier, but is otherwise just like Hardanger: woven in pairs of threads and 22ct. Looking forward to your version!

Mabel, I just wanted to tell you how much I have loved this SAL and have come to love stitching Hardanger designs. I probably won't get to finish this one until next year, but as you know have completed your "Round Dozen" and am now working on some Christmas and Birthday cards using the ABC pac which I love! Would never ever in a million years have tried this (thought I would but never did) without this wonderful SAL. So Thank you!!!

:applesauce: :applesauce: Nothing to add to everything Wendy and Carole have said except a huge thankyou Mabel for doing the SAL. I would never have had the confidence to try hardanger on my own. Looking forward to 2015. :toast: :toast:

OK here is my December - not the best bead work, especailly some of the bodies for some reason however it was a lot of fun to do and drew lots of nice comments at embroidery group yesterday - I managed to get the bars wrapped in spite of all the chatter we were enjoying!!!.

The details are Oslo (of course) and DMC Blanc and the golden browns used are all Precensia Finca in #5 7740 and # 8 7731 &7749 MH seewd beads 2038

Not the colours I was intending to use but the only one which gave me beads and #5 & 8 in the same colour range.

Thanks for looking. :D

I like that colour choice, Sally, it's unusual for dragonflies perhaps but it works -- they look golden! As for the curvy bodies, they're obviously just having a nice dance :-)

This goes back into what passes for a rotation once I've finished a few Christmas things. As usual, everyone's interpretations are such inspirations.

I've really enjoyed the journey, Mabel! Thanks! :toast:
