Like I said the other day I FINALLY got the waste canvas for my angel and I can get started on her.
1st Picture is of moms little helpers wanting to open th tube that the canvas came in. My Great Dane has a fetish with caps. She won't touch a plastic bottle if the cap is off but if she sees one with the cap on she won't leave it a lone until she has it off. She saw me with the tube and just would not leave me a lone so I gave it to her to get the cap out of the end. My pom hates to think he is being left out so he came over to help.
2nd picture Cookie said," I can do it my self." Rusty said,"well I am going to supervise."
3rd picture Cookie said," why won't this damn thing come out."
4th picture I started decoy angel not alot as I had to edge the fabric, get the center in the frame along with the waste canvas properly centered. I worked mostly on the OTHER project but I did get started.

Your dogs are wonderful. My mums cat tries to help read her charts by sitting on them! The decoy is coming along well too. I always count my preparation time as work on it too.
great start on the angle..i've been wondering, and pardon me if you answered this already lol, but why on waste canvas? what do you do with them when done?
*i'd probably get my own answer if i browsed your gallery?? lol*

C-F I wanted the quilt I made for my daughter to be lighter in weight then what I could get with the aida cloth so I decided loooooonnnnnnggggggg time ago to stitch it on the cotton fabric. I also likes the way the clothe looked when stitched this way.
When you finish stitching the pattern you pull the waste strings one at a time and all that is left is the finished picture on whatever clothe you have stitched it on. It is the same concept as stitching on a shirt or pants or any thing else.

I love your dogs-my mum has a cute border colllie mixed, and she is adorable-its funny how they like to get in there and help. They'e just like little people but nicer because they are always there when you need them-its unconditional!!
Live every moment like it means something, because it does!!! And cross stitch every moment you can steal.lol
Oh, you can see her face now! What a good idea to start with the face. This is going to be very good.

Agi. I am such a dork. I always start at the middle of my design but where ever the face is on the design I work in that direction so that I do the face first. I like to have my stitching watch me work on the rest of the pattern. It gives me the impression that it is telling me to finish it, make it whole.
