Mini projects 2011

Post by JenEric »

I did not see a 2011 mini projects thread - sorry if this is a dup. Here are a couple things I started last year - but finished this past week.

I think I am going to make a 'Wicked' x-stitch for all of the women in the family - we'll see if I get bored (this is my second one complete - I finished the one for me last year). I thought it would be fun to use multi-colored thread. Was not loving it at first - but decided that it was fun in the end - reminds me of 'witches socks' - not sure why.

I did this one for my good friend with 2 boys under 3 yrs. They certainly keep her busy!

Those are great and the thread does look a bit like witches socks!!!!!

We do not have a Mini thread for 2011 the old on was just 9 pages so I had not put up a New Years thread. I hope you don't mind I will add the year to this one and put it as a sticky so we can go with it.

That multi coloured thread is fantastic. It's worked so well on the dark background.

Well done :D

Dumb questons:
What qualifies as a Mini Project? Is there a mimimum per month/year to participate?

Thanks everyone.

Pampam - I'm sure everyone has their own idea of a mini project. I kinda classify mine by - if I am not going to start a thread in the sal section - I display in the mini project thread. There are a couple threads for 2010 (split because the first one was getting to long) - wonderful projects in there.

We put this thread up because some projects are just not big enough to go in a seperate thread so we all just add whatever project that we have done and want to show our quick finishes. Some things like cards, biscournes, simple one day projects that type of thing. Anyone can add there picture and there are no minimums to think about.

Love that wicked.
I did a charity square (it was supposed to be a SAL with another group but I started it on Sunday. I dont' make a good SAL candidate.)
The Brush Stroke Butterfly is a freebie from Cyber Stitches.
They wanted it in varigated thread all throughout but I think I will do it again with the colours they used.
Probably going to Breast Cancer for a quilt.
