Oh Jilly, that was not very nice of them. Why do people have to be so nasty ? If you are in a needlecraft shop you are obviously wanting to do some needlecraft.
I've been trying to wangle a trip to Bakewell (not ever so far for us) as I would like to visit this shop. I shall bear your comment in mind if I ever get there.

It was about 4 years ago on holiday, so with any luck the assistant no longer works there. The shop is like Aladin's cave, I would go in there now if I had the chance, but maybe keep my mouth closed and just find things for myself, just in case
