Afgan advice please

I am used to stitching on 14 count aida but want to do an afgan, some are 18 count is that more difficult to do than a 14 count one? I have been told that the ( anne cloth which is the 18 count one) is softer than the rest, But the chareles one is 14 count. Any one please help

I haven't stitched on afghan material yet, so I can't help you out, but I know a lot of people find it easy to stitch on.
Remember, the higher the count, the smaller the design will be, just take that into consideration when you decide on the type of fabric and design.
