. Hi Pipin, welcome from Canada I have arthritis in my hands and both my thumbs have very limited mobility I also have no feeling in the first two fingers of my left hand but I still manage to stitch, I use ergonomic theraputic gloves, they are fingerless and made of lycra. They have a lot of support and massage your hands, I know I can stitch longer if I wear them. Hope this helps they are about $30.00 a pair Cdn. You can get them on line and at most good needlework stores , also Michaels. I got mine there and they were $15.00 each. Linda

Hi
Ive been browsing through an issue of the world of cross stitch. In it someone has written in who suffers tendonitis, the magazine people recommend speaking to a physio to ensure you get the right advise, and they suggest using a wrist support called 'the McDavid wrist support' Apparently it gives support by compression and therapeutic heat retention. It costs £12.98 inc p&p www.physiosupplies.com 08700 545050
Hope the info helps some of you.
Regards
Sue
