I am having a bit of trouble getting the creases out.
I have just finished a 'sampler' for my son. It has lots of metallic threads on it, so I have to be really careful ironing it. I had a towel under and a towel over, but the creases aren't coming out properly.
Can anyone advise me of something to try please?
Help please.

I was going to say wet the cloth so that it is damp also. But I was beat to the suggestion . Or a very fine misting bottle to spray on the back of the work could help also. Mist let it set for a few minutes and then put the cloth back on and iron. It may take two or three tries but just be persistant.
Oh yeah and the cloth that you are using to wet should be rather thin, a towel is to thick to really help anything.

If you are looking for some one to help change you, look in the mirror
I suggest this with some hesitation, but you might try spray-on starch with towels below, and use a wool setting on your iron (or even cooler?). It makes short work of all my heavy linen napkins, which I used to struggle to press even from damp with a steam iron set to linen. Not to mention the crisp finish that shrugs off dust.
Has anyone ever tried one of these tiny irons -- I think they are to be used for cuffs and collars? It occurs to me that they might be useful for embroidery because of their size.
