To post the riddle, but here it is, why not!

It's the only vegetable or fruit that is never sold frozen, canned, processed, cooked, or in any other form but fresh.
What is it?

I am sorry, Dude, but I have to disagree - at least in Hungary we do cook it. My mother used to make lettuce soup - with sour cream! My family doesn't like it, so I only cook it once in every three years, when I am on my own.
When you guys visit me, I will cook you some, promise!
