Magnetic clips as needle holders

Hi, some time ago there was a tread on what people did with their needles. I posted a picture with the magnetic clips I use (see below) and some people showed interest. Morrisson is selling them again; in a pack of 6 for £1.49. The picture on the clip is a red smiley. Morrisson also sell a larger type clip, those come in a pack of 3 for £0.99, red, green and yellow.

I was just thinking yesterday I could do with a new way of keeping track of my needles. Must remember to stop in at Morrisons sometime :)

I've been thinking of gluing a magnetic strip on the stretcher bar on my frame to place my needles. Those little magnets look like a lovely idea. Maybe I can incorporate something like that on a clip that will span the wood thickness. I have a needle minder that I love but find it a bother on the fabric. I would rather have it off to the side but the wood is too thick.
