Can't keep up in this battle of wits
Anyway, I do sign my pieces, especially the large one. I usually select a color that is in the piece but is close to the fabric color. I stitch my initials and the year completed in the bottom corner. This way it's there but it doesn't really stand out. The only ones that I do in a bit of contrasting color is my perpetual project, otherwise known as my Christmas Tree skirt. Every year I add a design and that gets the year stitched in a color that stands out and my full name is also stitched along one edge.

I made a cross-stitch tree skirt. It's one of my pride and joys, I love getting it out every year. It's got Santa on a train, the smoke stack is blowing out sweets instead of smoke and the wagons behind have reindeer and snowmen in them. The same design is stitched on 3 sides with track running all the way round. It's done on Anne cloth afghan fabric. My kids love it.
When Christmas comes I'll put a pic in my gallery.
And if someone is really lucky, I might find the chart and add it to the next swap, but I have no idea where it is!

A stitch in time is my idea of a perfect day!

Perpetual project
Hi, I'll try to post a picture of it once I get this years finished. It's actually a lot of fun each year and I've been able to play with different techniques and threads that I wouldn't normally use.
