Squirrel's Quilting

Post by Squirrel »

Here is the last large piece of quilting I will be doing. Its a duvet cover for my bed and has finally been brought out of hiding. Sorry the main pic is a bit blurry, not much room in there to get a long shot.

The patterns on the square are all of pansies. I sort of  them for their different faces and colours.

and now a closer look at some of the squares.!

Thanks for looking. :D

What a beautiful quilt you have made. I think it looks so delicate and cozy. The amount of work that you have put into making it was worth every stitch. I love it!!

It's beautiful Sally. I have decided to make up my embellished patchwork squares into a duvet cover. It will take a lot less work than quilting it.

Thank you all for your lovely comments - they are appreciated.

Athalie = that was why mine ended up as a duvet cover, too big and bulky to hand quilt. :D

Brilliant!! I'm not surprised you made it into a duvet cover....all that Quilting!  It would have put me off too!

I've just thrown out my Favourite duvet cover!  It was made of Patchwork....no, I didn't make it  ......but it finally fell apart and wore right through at the top.....I blame D/H! His whiskers bristled the fabric right through! :tantrum:

Very pretty. Those sweet little pansy faces will give you a smile every time! ... I used to plant pansies in the winter in Virginia (snowy, around freezing much of the season) and they would bloom and be so cheerful. --Carol in Honolulu (no pansies here)
