Not cross stitch but I wanted to share anyway

My future son-in-law's brother and his wife are expecting their first baby, also the first grandchild for the family. The boys' father passed away unexpectedly 2 years ago, and because he kept bees on the property, I chose a bee themed fabric to build the quilt around. (At their wedding, the guest favor was a tiny jar of honey - it was such a nice way to include their dad.) The quilt and bear are a surprise, so I can't show anyone here at home until sometime in July - so you guys get the brunt of my impatience. 8)

Oh my, they are just so very beautiful & how wonderful to include the grandfather in these gifts. The quilt will surely be an heirloom & really treasured. The cute bear will no doubt become a much loved cuddly toy for the baby. You are very clever making these & thank you for sharing with us :whoop: :applesauce: :applesauce:

Really beautiful - both the thought and the gifts.
