Okay, it's home from the framers, I am very happy with the framing.

Image

I'm doing a small piece now, a kitten in a garden from the Dimensions Matted Accents range and will start a spring piece soon. It's a flower vase and birds nest with some french words..kind of a poster look to it. I sorted the threads this morning and edged the fabric. Still have made no further progress on the forever friends garden swing piece, dont feel like stitching teddy at the moment.

I was going through my stash (OMG, how did all that accumulate!) and have a few kits I wish I never bought  I doubt I will do them but shall hang onto them a bit longer in case i change my mind.

The frame certainly sets it off Barb. An awesome piece of work especially with all that back stitching. Great work.

Love the sound of your current and next projects, its good to keep going.

I ended up hanging it where I had one of my very first framed works. The lighting there was best from it, however, it does break my heart not to have my first framed work up in the lounge room. I moved it into my craft/study room for now.

This is what i am working on at the moment. I started it yesterday so no photo yet.

I actually planned to do other stuff first but as we are just heading into spring, it really just jumped out and said "stitch me to welcome in spring" thats why i put my four seasons cats and victorian teddy on hold.

OMG, Winter is almost over for another year  ..thank goodness.. how I hate winter. I think I get SAD..seasonal affective disorder. I always feel down in winter and this year has been especially hard with all the changes in jobs and feeling generally unsettled.

Stitching this will cheer you up and encourage Spring for you. I guess that means we're heading into Autumn. Do you take Vitamin D? My doctor has just about everyone taking it and its the vitamin from the Sun so maybe that will help with "SAD". I had a friend who had to sit under one of those sun lamps in the winter because of it. But winter in general can do that to me. I hope you are feeling more settled . I am going to look forward to your updates on this one.

yes, I have been taking it for 2 years as my blood level was low. One of my epilepsy tablets kills off vitamin D. Not sure what the level is..haven't had it checked since i started taking Vitamin D..2 years..oh my bad

Love you new project Barb and it is so nice and bright too.

SAD has affected me for years and living down in Melbourne was not a good idea as where I lived in the hilly outer east it was almost always cloudy. So much better up here with almost 6 weeks of continuous sunny days. Cloudy since Friday and some much needed rain, but thats ok - great stitching weather.
