thanks, I have done a bit more of the shading only on the lady. I kinda had a bit olf sewing ADHD this week and started "Garden Door Kitty" and did this little project and framed it with a frame I had in the house, but it has no glass so will get some next time I go to the framers.

Image

I took photot of what I have done on the garden door kitty but it's bad, so when I do some more, I'll take another photot and post what the finished product should look like.

I shall get back to my chic lady this week.

~threadbear~ wrote:I love the blue in the westies project, it really stands out. You've done lots on it as well, it's going to be fab!
Love the wrens though, I love the birds, the colours, everything!

Well done!

oh, what i did was use 3 strands instead of two of each coulour, except the black..I used two to kinda drop it back and make the blue stand out more. When I started it, I was doing 2 strands of each as per the pattern but I didn't like it, the black kind of dropped the blue back...but I got me crafty brain in and came up with that solution

okay, I am going to rant.

That frame I had, I biought from the craft shop, it is made by Semco who are an Australian ( i think) needlecraft company.

It's crap, I opened it today..no glass, bad closures and crappy hanger. It cost about the same as a photo frame and I would have got glass with a photo frame. I wont be buying them again. :x

I haven't started the second wren and haven't done any more on the lady either

I am also going to get a piece of glass cut for that picture. the framer I use, he doesn't charge me for glass, so I am going to take in the size and when I take my next pictures in, ask him for glass for free. Worst he can say is no.

yeah, my cat made me buy then, I was just going to get the houses but the cat was not happy about this even though I explained about finances. She threatened to do nasty cat meows when I was asleep, scratch the furniture, sit in the pot plants even more than she does, all sorts of threats. i was very frightened so gave in and got them.

I did a bit of the gum leaf tonight, off to bed now and also sorted my stash patterns into themes/groups and put them in folders so i can find what I need without tearing the place apart

Angel, indeed it is a Koala.

It is incredible how much influence our kitties have over our life and life's decisions....mine are all white, so they look like little angels, but really are just little devil babies in disguise ;)

had to laugh at that! I have one white one and one black one..and they are both bad! I caught coco sitting on the coffee maker yesterday and molly took my little tag I need to go to the gym and hid it under the couch. Devil babies indeed!

Regardless though..if they told me to go ahead and stitch them something, you know I would! :P
