Re: Gold Collection kitten
Going to be adorable when you've finished.
OK, I admit it, I am severely biased in favour of anything feline, but that really will be good. Love the start you've made.
Regards,
Richard.

Lovely kitten in beautiful soft colours! It should be a very enjoyable project to stitch

The kitten looks so peaceful and I am so glad you have picked it up again. Your beginning stitching is lovely and I look forward to the updates.

Re: Gold Collection kitten
Thank you all.
I changed fabric to 16 ct, not 18 as in the kit. Have done all other Gold Colleciton ones on material supplied whihc is 18hpi, but looking at stitches/colours on chart I decided with the blue, grey & brown variations it would be better for me change to 16 hpi. Glad I did as I need a short break after an hours stitching before continuing for another hour. Using my bigger magnifier for this project too so do not stitch quite as long as I normally do, but it is worth going slower.
Background is half cross stitch wiith 3 strands. Ordinary blues, navy, dk blue, mid blue plus some variations on grey blue, Air Force blue type of colour - dk med & light blue/grey. Also greys have blue tint to several as well as ordinary greys. Nose on this kitty will have combined colours of one strand each grey & brown - I don't mind combination stitches but it was the shades of greys & blues I was concerned about.
It will take quite a while but going by other Dimensins Petite projects will be worth the wait. Used the 18 ct supplied to make small cards with so not Aida wasted

Re: Gold Collection kitten
How beautiful! I've lost my heart to all cats IRL. Unfortunately being a cat owner is not a choice for someone like me. Lungs protest.
I'm sure you will tame the cat. It will be a beautiful project.

Re: Gold Collection kitten
mysterystitcher: That's dreadful, such a shame. Don't anti-histamines help enough?
However, spare a thought for our tabby cat 'Jack', he was allergic to cat fur too. After every grooming session he wheezed like a steam train. It gradually got better until the next grooming session... We could tell where he was in the dark, his wheezing was a perfect locator.
Unfortunately he died of kidney problems overnight 31 Dec 2008/1 Jan 2009. Sorely miss him.
Regards,
Richard.

Richard:
No, no they don't. It's better to admire the porcelaine cats only. It tears me apart, but my health is such a valuable thing I don't want to play with it. Kismet's kittens were too much for my poor lungs.
Your poor cat!!!!!!!!!!! I can't even imagine his feelings! I've had bad asthma attacks enough of times to imagine a bit how your cat must have felt. I am sorry for your loss, though. Even a sick animal is dear to the owner.
