These are beautiful!
I think you should get the other geisha one too, the purple one. It would be stunning.

WOW you are going ahead well with the Geisha and the parts which are going in now are really 'setting off' the whole design.
I really love the Blue Geisha, so elegant and gentle. It would be fabulous to stitch but a lot of different shades of blue me thinks.

Hello all, a small update on my geisha. I am not onto the finishing touches, back stitching and all. I am really happy with the progress on this one. :)

This is very pretty Wolfie. Can't wait to see her hair ornaments. They are usually a bit tricky but they do really add a final flourish to the design. Lovely work, you have done well with this :applesauce: :applesauce:

The white backstitches/long stitches are already making a difference!

Nearly finished now, about halfway through the details. The french knots are always a little fiddly I find. Half the lazy daisy are done on the obi now. Then there will be some more back stitching to finish on the obi and around the head and background. I think the metalic gold back stitch will pop out more once the final maroon back stitch is complete on the obi.

So I anticipate my next post will be the finished piece, barr framing as I want to do the other geisha and samurai to frame them together.

That has, without a doubt, ignited the picture. So much detail.
Always come as a surprise how much a little backstitch can improve a cross stitch picture.

Richard.

Now I shall put her somewhere safe until I decide either to frame her on her own or do the others first and frame her with her fellow geisha and Samarai.

That's pretty special. I particularly like the fabric detailing on the inside fold of the Kimono. The designer really thought about what they were doing & you've executed it perfectly.
Congratulations on the finish.

Richard
