Thank you everyone :) It's so nice to have a week to relax after college stress! Although, I did a mock test for my Sociology and I got an A in it! So pleased for myself!

And on the topic of being pleased, I finished the first square!

Thank you both very much!
I thought I'd get a lot done this half term but of course it didn't end up that way! Monday I ended up sleeping in for half of the day since I was just so exhausted after the weekend, Wednesday I went into town with my ma since she wanted a dress for Christmas (Her third party dress in 20 odd years- she got a gorgeous blue dress from Monsoon. I'm so glad we're the same dress size, I'm totally going to steal it 8) ) and also that afternoon I went and a got my second tattoo- a little frog! It was a lot more painful than the first one, and took a lot longer, but I love my little Frogbert! I then went into uni with the boyf on Friday and then this past weekend was Halloween parties so I only got two days to sit and actually stitch!
But anyway, here's the bit I got done:
Image
It dosen't look like a lot to me, but that was about 8-9 hours work, and is about 1200 stitches!

And also... I started a side project for when I want a break, the boat kit I posted in my first post in this thread! It dosen't look like much yet, but here it is:

Thanks for looking!

:applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: Good progress on your wolf and nice start on the boat!
Sounds like you had a lot of fun over your break and two days of stitching mixed in with other activities is a great way to clear your head before you have to focus on studies again!

Thanks everyone!
I haven't been able to do any stitching in a while *cries* life and everything just decided to um, give up on me  But yesterday I sat down and started my Christmas stitching! I got this Christmas Kitten back in October, and after waiting to get some threads I decided to go for it. Of course, in true 'Dotty' style, I completely ignore most of the colours for ones I favour more...
Image

I honestly think the kitten looks more like a bunny in my WIP lol

I do also have a little update on my wolf! And also the finished bookmark I made for my Mam (It was her birthday last week, so I gave it to her then!)

I ended up just folding over the corners of the aida for the bookmark, it's quite stiff and doesn't unravel easily, but when it starts to need some TLC I might stitch a wee bit of felt (in purple, of course) to keep the raw edges in.

Thanks for looking! Hopefully I will finish my kitten tonight when I get home from college!

Life does get in the way! But you are making up for it with this wonderful stitching. And why ever not change colours to suit yourself? Looks grand.

I love the little cat motif and you have made a really good start on it. Incidentally it is the one I am trying to finish when my eye lets me.

The wolf one is making good progress too. :)

Thank you everyone, and Sally I hope you feel well enough to finish the kitten as he's just so. gosh. darn. CUTE!

Here's my little guy finished, except for backstitching:
Image

I wanted to have it finished yesterday, but hey ho, this is where we're at tonight :D I never remember how difficult metallic threads are to use until I use them... Who thought they were a good idea?? Why didn't they make them easy to use?? These questions may never be answered

I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do with this little guy yet... I stitched a robin a few years back which get sandwiched in christmassy red felt and comes out as a decoration each year, so I might go along the lines of that... Or just some nice red card. We shall see 8)

Love your wee cat and a well timed picture. I will be heading to the balcony very soon with my basket and hope to get closer to finishing it if not actually doing so. Mine is for a dear friend having some problems at present and as this one is almost the same colour as my Tuppy whom she has seen, it will hopefully cheer her up.

The back stitching really makes a big difference. I always use #4 braid for any mettallics, it is much easier to use than many that are included in kits. :)
