I'm starting to think I'll just type in one adjective per post that expresses how fantastic and perfect and speedy and amazing and magnificent your stitching is because I have truly run out of how to describe it. For this post I'll choose "beautiful detail already appearing". Love it :applesauce: :applesauce:

Your stitching speed & accuracy is, as usual, brilliant.

My concern is over the quality of the chart. Where is the detail of the leaves & branches silhouetted against the sky that should now be visible? The beautiful dark blue sky & black branches have all merged into a near black mass. This is the sort of loss of detail I was concerned about when I asked how recent the chart was - older HAED conversions don't seem to do anything to mitigate the software limitations in dark areas like this, and we are seeing classic 'Pattern Maker' conversion software loss of detail in dark areas.
This is terribly sad, as it really doesn't do your stitching ability justice.

OK, I have said my piece on the quality of the chart conversion & will not mention it again.

Regards,

Richard

I really do value your opinion Richard but I can't say I really noticed the lack of detail. I guess it isn't as clear as the painting but I didn't expect it to be. I think once I get down to his face it will be more noticeable if it really isn't charted that well. I don't think I have done enough to tell yet.
I know you do lose some detail with HAED charts, unfortunately Golden kite didn't do this one.
I will continue and we will see... :)

Must admit I expect, for a really good conversion (Golden Kite quality or better), for the stitched result to be as close to identical to the image as you can get with a different 'pixel' size, and there to be no concessions to the fact it's being done from a comparatively limited palette.

Ah well. There is no question in my mind that you will do the stitching perfectly and so staggeringly fast that it'll be simply amazing to sit back & watch you do it.

Regards,

Richard.

I have just finished another page. I'm now going back to stitch The adoration of the kings. I am planning on stitching 2 pages at a time on each project before rotating.
