Hardanger Cushion Cover FINISHED!!

Post by wendywombat »

Image

This has been a while in the making!!
Finished it yesterday. The colours were chosen by my daughter and not quite to my taste, but now it's finished I think it looks good!
You may remember that I did a larger version of this in pastel colours along with Serinde (and several others) some while back.
I chose 9 squares from the original 15 from the design.

Thanks to Serinde who helped me out with some Pearl #5 when the threads I'd bought were not as vibrant as those previously bought

:applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: Amazing finish, Wendy!!!!

I am awestruck by how different that looks than the sampler looked with the paler colors. I'm one of those that did that sampler and until I read what you said about "several others including Serinde" and the 15 squares, I didn't even realize it was the same set of designs. Amazing!!!
What a lovely cushion that makes!

That is so bright and cheerful! When you say cushion cover, do you mean seat cushion? I'm not sure I could bring myself to sit on it, it's so pretty!

That's a brilliant piece of work. Your daughter will love it especially as it's in the colours she chose.
I love it when modern mixes with traditional.

I think in the US you would call it a pillow. It will have a feather pad inside it and will sit on her bed.

Thanks for all your comments everyone....I think I can take off my 8) now when I stitch!!
