I'm BAAAAAACK (with a finished UFO)

It's been a while my dear friends and I missed you all and I'm sad I missed two Stashmas's. A lot happened within the past couple of years. I'm starting a new cross-stitch blog because I can't log into the old one on blogspot and I'm thinking about making an instagram as well. In addition I moved twice, got married, got a promotion and adopted the most wonderful Kitty in the world! I'll probably post how I met Darth Kitty in a different section, but he's now my emotional support stitching buddy.
In the meantime, I had been working on the Diane Graebner design "Rainy Day Walk" and the last time I posted about it I was having a bit of trouble with the lazy daisy raindrops. I figured out how to secure it on the aida without knots, so I'm pretty pleased with the result (even through the shiny thread doesn't really show in the picture). Thread Heaven was my best tool in the arsenal -- I don't know how I would've survived using the blending filament without it. Anyway, it's nice to be back and to be stitching.
