When I was visiting England for the first time in 2002, my English friend showed me the tree from which his mum took him off, or so she used to say. My neighbour next door in 1970s, talking her little son into washing his hands, used to say that he must have been brought by a crow, because his hands were "like a crow's feet"(black?). He is now 40, has his own kids, and judging from his photos, was brought by a stork, not by a crow.

Cant help boasting that I have just finished cross -stitching Merejka's "Christmas Night". :whoop: The photo will be posted ASAP. As I must have said before, in this household it takes less time to stitch a picture than to have it photographed and loaded onto my computer. :ratherbe:

Backstitch is often tedious, but makes such a difference, doesn't it?

:applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: I love projects that make me smile and this one does!!! It is so warm and happy (besides all the snow of course) with the houses lit up and the smoke from the chimneys. You can almost hear the families talking and laughing around the dinner tables. Can't wait to see the finishing touches!

You are really fast! And I love backstitch, doing it and even more so the finished result. Now I am really looking forward to seeing your finished piece.

Thank you, Nicola. In reality it looks much better than in this photo. On Tuesday it is leaving for England as part of a Christmas present. Will take another photo after washing and ironing.
