I attempted to ignore this piece to do more on some I have already started. Soon the other pieces were telling me "its okay, go ahead"
I have attempted to keep everything organised.

I bought the material kit for this.Image
The chart is in a binder.Image And I made a bag specifically for this.Image This is my first HEAD and I do expect to be done with it when my 2nd grade daughter finished her Master degree.....

I didn't want to post until I had done a decent amount on this.....I had my overlord protecting, and inspecting my work
Image
Image
But this is where I'm at now......it about half of page one....

On a side note my husband is an AZ DPS officer motor (for those over seas that means hes a highway patrolman on a motorcycle) Yesterday there was a call the went out that something was running "afowl" on the freeway.

The suspected illegal was put in the back of squad car and sent down for questioning........

Kidding it was taking to a wildlife shelter

Love your new project!!! Spangler designs are so much fun to stitch. Right now I'm working on "O Kitten Tree", one of my focus projects this year. And I adore your assistant. Reminds me of my first fur-baby. He was a big black cat (Bombay we thought though couldn't be sure as he came to us as a very tiny 6 week old kitten from a shelter who turned into a 20 lb almost 2+feet long panther cub) who was truly amazing.

Is that a Canada Goose that your DH arrested? I mean saved? They can be very aggressive and even nasty sometimes though it doesn't look like this one put up much resistance. Glad that he is safe at a shelter now.

My overlords name is Waffles. I have 3 others Strawberry is the other feline, and toodles the jack Russell (who thinks she a lap cat) and my corgi Sir donut they all take turns "helping". On a extremely rare occasion my husband red fronted macaw "Butters" will choose to sit on my shoulder or knee while a stitch. If it happens I'll snap a pictured. He likes to talk while I'm counting then will shut up when I'm not.

The goose took 3 officers to grab. Well as my DH says it takes two car units and one kickass motor. The two car units had already been out there for 30 mintues before my Hubby showed up and walled right up and picked it up. It bite him twice but he's used to it because of Butters.

I LOVE your organization!! Please tell your husband how much I respect his profession and appreciate his willingness to do the job. I can't wait to see all the pictures as you progress. I have kitty overlords as well who are exceptionally unhappy right now. We just "adopted" a lab/Great Dane mix who is currently 75 lbs and likely to top 90 by the time he's finished growing. Thankfully, he is not particularly interested in the kitties so we're hoping for a reasonable adjustment period.

Great progress and what fun photos! Glad the goose could be caught and is in a safer place. They can be pretty scary (remembering a hissing fit when I was too close to some goslings as a child).

There is so much for me to love in your pictures. First off, you've chosen such a fun design. I love those Spangler dragons. Next, I see a Little Mermaid bag...and a Little Mermaid blanket. Of course, this Disney fan must comment how much I love those, too. And as for that Canadian Goose, I'm so glad he seemed to be cooperating. They can be quite stinkers at at times. We see little ducklings getting stuck on the interstate around here all of the time. The poor police must help them get across. Never quite sure how they make it onto the interstate in the first place.

I was walking at a wildlife refuge a few years ago and a male goose knocked me down with his wing when I got too close to his nest --- which was quite a ways down the path and I had no idea it was there! He could have gently squawked at me & I would have gone another direction but noooooo. Flew right at me and whacked me in the head with his wing and pushed me over. I got up and started walking the other direction and he took another swing at me, but missed (or maybe it was just a warning, since I was going the other direction?). I keep my distance from them now, no matter what time of year!

Love the start, too! Beautiful stitching.

I went on holiday to Iceland in June once, and part of the trip was to the black sand beach at Vik on the south coast. It was gorgeous with shards of blue brash ice lapping on the black sand beach, and Puffins being their adorable, comic selves coming into nest in the banks.

The least pleasant part was the Arctic Turns. They looked so elegant nesting on the grassland, but they have wicked beaks and 'too close' for them was much further away than we expected, more than 50 metres. A couple in the party came away with quite nasty head wounds. I think a walking stick is what stopped me being hit. I don't usually carry one, but with the scrambling about that holiday involved I'd brought a hiking pole with me and waved it about a lot. And, NO, the head wounds were NOT from my hiking pole. :?

Regards,

Richard.

:applesauce: :applesauce: Congrats on finishing your first page! That is always such a great feeling! And it is looking really good. As far as what page next, I usually go straight across, following the page numbers but there isn't any law that says you have to do it that way. I'd go with what feels most right to you.
