Post by kingfisher68(2) »

As I had to re-register with (2) added on I am unable alter original stitch-a-long start page heading so decided to start one under my new avatar name of kingfisher68(2)

This is latest photo & I will added further updates to this page.

Bummer that you had to re-register. I'm glad you did, though, because I would be sad if I didn't get to see more updates of these lovely cottages. You are getting closer and closer to the finish, the cottages are getting more and more welcoming with each stitch. I think we should hold a stitcher's retreat in one of these cottages. What do you think?

I quite agree a stitcher's retreat sounds wonderful and what a perfect setting.

Super update you are nearly there :applesauce: I'm so pleased you re-registered. :)

Thank you all very much for the lovely comments. I have finished the roof of the third cottage & the shadowy one next to it, starting lower trees now.

As for cross stitchers retreat what a good idea. Some of you may remember a few weeks after I started this project I said I'd love the middle one which I stitched first & would do B&B if I had one of these. And of course, special rates for fellow x-stitches. Had several requests :D I also said it would have big garden at the back of the cottage & I would have a summerhouse down the bottom so we could have x-stitchers meetings once a week with tea, coffee & cakes & a good natter. As it would be a virtual summerhouse like S&G & St. Cross Stitchers, there would always be plenty of room so as many as wished could come. No washing up afterwards either being virtual. Perhaps it would be near the said S&G & St. Cross Stitchers in a small hamlet in a lovely green & leafy shire or other. Stitchershire possibly?

As I said in Serinde's topic my next project is to be DMC pair of otters on riverbank . Easier to stitch & paler colours so it will give my brain a rest from the concentration I've had for this one.
