Swallow Wedding. FINISHED AND FRAMED! 06/10/17

My new project is Swallow wedding by DMC. It will be for our anniversary on the 30th of May. It will be 36 years!
I love swallows, as I associate them with beautiful summer's day and the arrival of spring.
The material is 28 count linen (which I never stitched on before) + DMC Pearlescent effects + Precious Metal Effects thread (Metallics!) and beads
At first, I could not get started as the metallics got in a terrible mess at the back of my work and it looked so uneven.
Then, I found a video on You Tube, which gave me a solution!!! I now stitch with only one short length of metallic thread but do each leg of the stitch twice.
It works a treat! :)
Here is the kit:

What a delicate and elegantly beautiful design that is and good on you for working out a way to stitch with the metallics. Looking forward to your updates on this lovely design.

What a beautiful design this is. I love how the blues and gold metallic look on the fabric. I am excited to see more updates on this.
