And I got it framed! Getting a big bag for it tomorrow so I can package it up and send it with my manager when she goes to my co-worker's wedding (I'm working that day, we can't all go). There's this lovely little store in one of our towns up here, Ben Franklin, that'll do simple framings that day. So she did it for me in about 30 minutes and changed the hanging-hardware for me so it'll hang portrait instead of landscape. The only sucky part was that since I now live in Marysville, it's 40-hour drive going anywhere from 2-6 o'clock around here.

25% progress on an American Coverlet Design (meant for a Lady Elizabeth afghan). My shared birthday with my mother is tomorrow and I procrastinated quite spectacularly. I'm doing another 50% tonight at the very least and the rest of it tomorrow morning.

Yeaaaaah. I'm a sucker for pain.

Oh, and I'm totally not touching satin thread for ages after this. I should have listen to karen4bells when she said it was a nightmare to deal with. I couldn't believe something so pretty and shiny could be!

Edit: WOW. OKAY THANKS PHOTOBUCKET.

So rude.

Edit 2: Omg. Photobucket wants me to pay 400 dollars yearly to share 3rd party. I can't even... omg.

Here's a temp from tinypic.

I can't believe they want 400. I could understand 20 a year. Or even 50. 400 seems like greed overblown- like when those CEOs multiplied the price of the Epi-Pen by 400% and the aids medicine by 300%.

Oh and I added the half-way mark picture to my previous post.

I know asking that amount is ridiculous. I've always used Flickr and will continue to do so.

I switched to PostImage which so far seems very easy to use. Thank you again Mabel for finding it.

So I noticed something odd about this project. When I was turning it to work on the identical sections- I turned my crosses. So in this picture, on the left side, top and bottom, the crosses are crossed the opposite way (finishing cross left to right), and on the right side, they're facing the correct way (finishing cross right to left). So to keep it even, I'm going to cross the final section to match the top right section. Oh well. I doubt my mother will notice. 8D

All done! I forgot to take a final picture, but just imagine it cut into a square and put into a free-standing clear frame (one of the plastic ones with no border) so all you see is just fabric square standing upright. This one ties for my fastest present yet- the bookmark being done in two full days and this one I did in about that much time as well. Technically less, instead of two full days like the bookmark, I had 4 hours one night, one evening the next night and 3 hours this morning.

I second that. :applesauce: Love the shimmery floss. It might be a pain to stitch with, but it was well worth the effort. Great finish! :D

Another wedding present! I started this two days ago, meant for today because I'm a horrible procrastinator. I'll just mail it to them, because the wedding was yesterday. Supremely beautiful and simple wedding.
