Christmas tree. Finished

Post by mauveme »

Started this tonight, had it in my pile for a few years, finally getting it done. Trying it on this purple splash 14 ct aida. Love the colour. So will my friend whom I am doing it for. Finally a start with Christmas. Picture is not the best, need a new camera. (or a better eye for taking pics lol)

Oh Linda that is gorgeous. I love it so delicate yet elegant too. On the purple fabric it will look awesome.
Looking forward to seeing it stitched. :)

The purple and white work well together. I really like the idea of a Christmas tree made with words. :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:

I'll use the 'q' word. It's mighty quick!

It does seem peculiar to be thinking of Christmas while sweltering.

Which I why I haven't done any stitching for a couple of days, it's just too damned hot to do much of anything. And the heat always affects me badly. It was so bad the other day after I did some housework, I got dizzy, had to lay down and keep my eyes closed, the room was spinning.. Not a happy camper..

Oh such a pretty update with the silver on the mauve. A good combination of colours there. Look forward to seeing it again. :applesauce:

Heard it is very hot in Canada. Did I read it was 47 c or have I got that wrong?

I is very hot here and the worst is the humidity (which accounts for the 47c temp most likely). We have been having a heat wave for quite a while and no relief in sight so far. My fans are getting quite a workout that's for sure.

glad you have fans working to help keep cool, we have one & it certainly helps. Sorry to hear you felt ill the other day after housework. The heat certainly takes it out of you when you try to do something.
