Sandz Projects 2021

Post by Sandz27 »

Hopefully I've popped this in the right place...
My current project is a Lotus Flower by Artecy Designs πŸ’™πŸ’š
I am working with Pattern Keeper for the first time and loving the way that you can highlight the colour you are working with, find the floss colour/number easily and mark off as you go. It's a game changer for me for sure πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘
Here's the design I am working on:

& here's my most recent progress:

I hope that you like my stitching & will follow my progress 😁

Blues & greens are my favourite colours so this design "spoke" to me. It's 88,804 stitches in total, I've not even completed 10% yet but I'm enjoying the journey...& No hurry to complete it at all...

Thank you :) Yes it is a massive change from my HAED which I recently completed. The slightly bigger fabric size is helping me a lot too, it is helping me enjoy stitching again. My love for it dwindled towards the end of my HAED which is why I think I stopped. Now I am glad that I can pick up an old hobby again and enjoy it of an evening...

Beautiful work. Glad you are enjoying it again.

Is Pattern Keeper only for patterns purchased digitally, or can you copy a paper pattern in to it?

I think that you can import paper patterns somehow but they have to be by a supported designer. There are a few supported designers I believe. However I think that you can only mark your progress if it is a paper pattern import, it won't let you search for and highlight stitches for example (that's the most useful thing about Pattern Keeper for me)...I've only imported PDF's so I am not that knowledgeable about Pattern Keeper's compatibility with anything else I'm afraid. There is a Pattern Keeper group on Facebook for any technical issues and support :)

Haha yes! I'm awful at sleeping most of the time. 6 hours is the most I need to be able to function well. I got 7 hours last night so all is good ☺️ I appreciate as I am doing the water it doesn't look like anything but blobs of colour right now but I am enjoying it immensely...

I love those colors and I'm sure it is lots of fun to be stitching this one. Also, it wasn't a very late post in my time zone, almost 7pm. One of the additional benefits of an international forum. Someone is almost always awake.

I also love Owls! There is a Barn Owl here. We see it flying during the day as well as at Dusk.
That is a rather lovely design...can see why that 'must' be stitched! :applesauce:
