Thank you all for your lovely comments they are much appreciated. I do just love this picture, I like the geisha as it is colourful but this I just LOVE. Had thought of posting this Monday mid day but felt it would look nicer with windows done rather than just the blank spaces for the tops of them. Did those Monday evening & love the fact one window is open. Can imagine a warm summer breeze exuding floral scents into that bedroom & sending them gently wafting around it. Oops, sounds like I've read too many romantic novels

The owl needle minder I bought as I could not find a kingfisher one & this is the nearest to their colour I could find - that said I do like owls though.

Looks lovely. There are a couple of villages nearby that have the timeless feel of the picture (if you can imagine them on a day when cars are banned or everyone inexplicably suddenly obeys speed limits).

Thank you! I'm just getting the feel for the blogging thing. I've been doing a lot of both stitching and quilting recently. I've got some stitching that I want to get made into quilt blocks, but I'm nervous to try. I might just try something small and make a mug rug. Time will tell.

I'm looking forward to more updates on your cottages.

Third page done now. Am going to start at bottom of next page working the colours of the footpath & then going upwards.
