Thanks everyone. I tend to stitch whenever I have a spare 5 mins. So it could be between work (citizens advice and sainsburys) or when he's playing computer games or watching zombie rubbish

This is regular print. My other haed (into the light) is a large print

It has around 35 pages.
I'm hoping to get it done and frames for 7th November 2017 as it would have been my mum's 50th birthday

Yes. Its dmc magic grid. Comes in various counts. This one is 25ct. Not seen one higher than this.

The only drawback is it's gridded to 20x20 boxes. Which I suppose if you're doing it over 2 it'll work.

Hello Lisa,

I mean your 2 over 1 stitch count. If your working on fabric other than Aida, (I'm still learning), don't you stitch 2 over 2 esp 28 or 32 count? You have 2 over 1 so I'm wondering how that works? :thinks:

From zooming in on the photo of the completed first page, the stitching seems to be 2 over 1 tent stitch (half cross). That's do-able, I am currently working on 2 such pictures myself, and completed one last year. It is no more crowded than 2 over 1 full crosses on 14 count, but gives 4 stitches in the space of one 14 count stitch.
I can't get over the speed - it takes me about 2 months work to do a page of a chart.

Regards,

Richard.

Ah I see what you mean now. As richardandtracey said I'm doing 2 over 1 tent stich. Its effectively just half stitch. I would have used full crosses and 1 strand of thread but I like using the loop method to secure my strand and (probably more likely) I'm too lazy haha

Thought I'd post an update while I'm here. Approx half way through page 2 and I'll be happy when I move into her wing which is the bottom bit of which I've not done. Lots more colours in there, but it's not greens. Strting to feel like I'm stitching army camouflage

:applesauce: :applesauce: Beautiful progress! And quick too. I also prefer 2 over 1 tent stitching on my HAED projects, mostly because of the speed. I have several that are 1 over 1 full cross on 25 ct because I started those before I knew about tent stitching, which I do on 28 ct. Both give me good coverage, but I love the pace of tenting. Looking forward to seeing more of this beautiful piece you are stitching!
