Woodland Enchantress

Post by Ajay »

So this is my project I've been working on for 2, its a present for a friend, and there's 2 new stitches I've never attempted so...i think I'm procrastinating because of it.

Help me get this done, i need to be nagged, and abused...Image

This is pretty, have been looking at this kit on line but as I bought the Anchor cottages one have to just keeping looking at the moment. Yours shows how lovely the colours are & I an sure you can do the 2 new stitches you've not tried before. Have a go on a spare bit of fabric to try them out. This is very nicely stitched so I am sure you can do it justice. If you believe you can, you will. Hope to see more this soon, keep going forward. :applesauce: :applesauce:

Hi
I have this kit from dimentions and have not even started it yet. I am doing another dimentions kit which has lots of blended stitches.

Looking forward to seeing it finished as it really is beautiful.

:applesauce: :applesauce: Beautiful stitching on a beautiful design. We've had several members who have stitched this and I am so glad to see it again. I'm sure someone here will be able to help you with any specialty stitches you might have. I would have thought that the instructions would have included how to do them, but sometimes those aren't the easiest pictures to follow. There are several very good websites which have really good tutorials on a variety of stitches. The ones I go to most often are Mary Corbet's Needle'nThread and Scarlet Quince's Solutions. And doing an internet search on any particular stitch will lead you to more YouTube videos than you can imagine.

Looking forward to seeing more updates.

She is so gorgeous so come on pick it up and do a few more stitches in it and get a bit further along. Do tell us what stitches are giving you a problem and I am sure someone (or several someones) will have the answers. Have you looked on UTube for tutorials for them?

It's lovely!

I'm not much of a nagger, but I can do abuse when it's consensual.

Yes Photobucket (PB) is being a right royal pain in the you know where these days and it is so frustrating. However until I can get a new computer and can load HP Photosmart onto it the better. My SIL has warned me if I load it onto this old computer it will crash for sure and he won't be able to fix it.

But hey what has happened to Woodland Enchantress - is she finished yet? Have you done much work on her since your first post????
Just wondering.

I've done a little bit more of her cloak. Right now I'm unsure if I want to start at the top of the "unfinished" area or the right side and work my way to done. I have a problem with wanting to see small battles won (which made those blue trees soooooooo frustratiing).

The stitches I'm avoiding is the crouching that will outline her skirt, cloak, and then this has a weird twist cord around her waist....in metallics, that I'm like uhhhhhh say what?

For the next two days, I need to finish my paper for college that I have put off ALL semester. Then finished the Pretty Little DC, so I can frame and give to my teacher. He is a great teacher and very engaging, so I am stitching it as a thank you for the end of the semester, and I only have two weeks to finish and frame! Lucky, my local framer, is amazing and can do rush jobs when needed.
