Looks like you are nearing the finish of your lovely Autumn one and such great colours. It is going to look amazing. You have made a good start on the Emporer Penguin too. A great update. :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:

Autumn Evening is gorgeous. Absolutely stunning. Love it.

It 'feels' right too. After leaving college I went to Canada for 2 months, motorcycling up into the Yukon & Alaska from Vancouver. Finally came back across the prairies, north of Lake Superior and flew home from Toronto. The stunted trees in the permafrost regions of Northern BC, Yukon & Alaska will always live in my memories, and they looked exactly like in the picture. And the quality of light too, that's so right & evocative too. Fantastic. Do show it when you've completed it.

I look forward to seeing the Penguin.

Regards,

Richard.

Thanks to everyone's kind words! Autumn Evening is by far the biggest one I have ever worked on...

I like puffins too! All animals actually, especially anything with baby birds or kitties. <3

So here is another little update. October's Secret Needle Night Kit arrived and started working on the Acorns. I was only able to finish acorn 1, because they accidently didn't send enough thread on a couple colors, but they mailed that out to me. So here is a finished acorn 1 and an almost finished acorn 2ImageImage

Thanks so much everyone. I am about 1/3 done the last pattern page on Autumn Evening, but probably won't post a picture until it's done. Last night I wasn't feeling very well, so I stitched a quick ornament to cheer myself up. I love ornaments as they are perfect to make using up scraps of linen or Aida

This is from Just Cross Stitch 2011 Ornament Issue called Deer in a Forest by Nicky's Creations.

This is one I did when I was 15. It won 1st Place at the fair. Image

And this is me at 15 with the projects I entered in the Fair. Ended up winning 1st place, second place, 3rd place, cash prize and special award.
