I finished the left leg last night and did the backstitch (I know you're supposed to leave that til the end but I tend to do it as I go). And just started on the grey belly :)

It's a design that cannot fail to raise a smile.

Beautiful stitching, going to be great.

I like to do the back stitch as I go too. :applesauce: He's looking Good! :applesauce: :applesauce:

I love these designs!! Is this the one from a magazine? I keep looking at them on Se&sew and I've not seen it there.
I have So Many to do!! but I could be tempted!

Yes he was in issue 244 of The World of Cross Stitching I think to celebrate the release of her first 4 cross stitch kits. They have since released loads more! I have bought two of them so far and have my eye on at least another two! There was a calendar which came out with some designs including the sleeping fox cubs which I've also started as well! xxx

He looks great - so cute!!! And you're doing a beautiful job on him. I have two Wrendale designs - they all make me smile.

I also tend to backstitch as I go - it's not my favorite thing to do and the idea of leaving it all til the end scares me.

This is great, really lifelike head & eye looks like he/she is looking straight at you. It is looking realistic as you've done some of the backstitch. Think it's a good idea to do some as you go along rather than leave it all until the end. Well done, look forward to seeing more of this. :applesauce:

This is how far I've got in three days since I last posted. Have finished his right leg and wing and done all the backstitch. Have ran out of DMC 841 (light brown) so will have to head to the stash to get some more. Unlike the other Wrendales I will be doing (bar the fox cubs) this was a design out of a magazine so using my own stash of threads for it. At least the threads will be supplied with the others ;) Now to tackle the mass of browns and creams for the rest of him. A job I am NOT looking forward to. But he is gorgeous so I will persevere
