My stitch you bug is back big style. So after this being in my stash for quite a few years I've decided to give it a go.

I think it will probably take me many years to finish it, but I just love the design, and henry loves his telescope so I thought it was quite apt.

My first hundred stitches are done, and am already hooked.

Great start on an amazing design!! Lots of updates please as this is going to be a wonderful project to watch progress!!

thanks guys, have managed about 400 stitches today. There will be many many updates. Will do next one end of next week.

Glad you got your stitchy bug back as this looks amazing. So many colours & such a busy design with very many bits & pieces to discover each time you update. Well done on a good start

WOW that is a beaut design for sure. It doesn't matter how long it takes it is the enjoyment you get from doing it which is important. You certainly have made a good start.

I've started to make a comment several times on this one and abandoned the comment.
I like the picture, but the engineer in me objects vociferously to the tortuous path the light has to take to get to the eye piece. And the amount of backlash in gears that coarse would have to be unspeakable just to allow them to turn. There, got it off my chest.

I hope it's one that you can get on with comfortably.

it doesn't seem like much progress but it's over 2000 stitches in 3 weeks, loving the different shades of red in the curtains already, difficult to see in the pics.

Won't be able to do much over next few weeks as we finally have some visitors coming to Spain !!
