Another wonderful update of Gryff and his tail. It looks so fluffy and soft. You do such amazing work. Thanks for sharing the update.

I have been slacking seriously over the last month, barely doing anything to Gryff. However, what little I have done to page 4 of the chart can be seen below:
Image
And the progress:
Image
I started on 13 May, and really haven't done much. Lots of things have come together, and with the early onset of summer heat on top of stress at home & work I have end up doing much less to Gryff than he deserves. I shall keep going to do a reasonable amount (say half this page) before I move back to 'Luz'.

Regards

Richard.

Great to see Gryff again. It's a pain when real life muscles its way to the front of the queue.

A little progress is better than none, I love Gryff and you are doing a fantastic job on him :applesauce:

I find I can't stitch much in the heat either, I quite often find the goals I set aren't ever reached on a weekly basis for anything I do

Nice progress! It's always harder to stitch when it's hot, we're bearing down for a hot summer this year over here as well.

It's nice to see Gryff come out and play a little again. Hopefully, the weather and stress will subside a little and you'll get to spend more time with him. As always, you do such superb work.

Just a little update. Having had a very hectic summer, things have calmed down somewhat, and I have to admit I no longer feel as if I'm drowning.
The inevitable happened with my step mother, her brain tumour got the better of her and the first few days of our summer holiday were spent at and around her funeral. Fortunately my father in law is recovering from being a gibbering & crying wreck now he's on seriously strong anti-depressants. The younger daughter has got past her A Levels, visited her university archaeology dig for a week, then despite stressing seriously about her exam results, she was accepted at her preferred university. Unfortunately younger daughter is close to what I'd describe as 'emotionally incontinent' - she can't keep anything in, and being in the same house as her has been more stressful than it might have been. Add to that, I have been trying to convert our new van so it can be used as a motorhome - making and designing the bed has been a heck of a task. I ended up with having to make 22 steel angle iron parts, mill 6 leg supports and get a welder at work to weld on 20 brackets after my welding proved hopeless. The bed proved to be very nice in use, but there is not a lot of headroom - so we can't drink tea in bed!

So, since Jun I have been working on Gryff on the few occasions I have had the energy, continuing with page 4 of the chart:
Image

The progress is not good for the total elapsed time, but it's as below:
Image

I will try to finish this page before starting Luz again.

Regards,

Richard

Sorry you have had such a stressful time Richard. Do hope things improve now & that you & your family can relax a little.

This project is very lovely & each time I see it more colours & contours appear. Well done :applesauce: :applesauce:

That's a lot of stress from a lot of different angles. So sorry for your loss and the ensuing struggles. Gryff looks amazing. I hope he's bringing some kind of kitty normalcy to your life.
