Rosemary's 2016 progress - Update 16 Dec
I didn't set any stitching goals this year which is good because I'd already be behind schedule!
I have FINALLY bought a house! Picked up the keys this week but as I still have my rented place for a couple more weeks I can spend time properly cleaning it (very necessary) before moving in. So many things are better than where I am now - nice village rather than definitely not nice town, no more smelling my neighbour's "not tobacco" at 0730 before she drives to work , hills (yay, proper hills!) within running distance, and lots more.
Looks like there are several of us who are moving or who have moved recently, hope it goes/went smoothly for everyone else.
I did manage to do the first round of Mabel's Hardanger SAL - first attempt at hardanger so it's not the neatest but I'm looking forward to improving with more practice.
Got my simulator check at the weekend (on the very last day before my licence expires - well-planned, company) and medical on Monday then I can start to feel more relaxed. Why does everything always happen at the same time?
Should be able to make some progress worth posting on my bigger projects next month, I hope!

Congratulations on the new home. Sounds as if you will be a lot happier.
So pleased all the requisite tests and medicals have been passed for flying, too. (Dunno why they leave it so late...!)
RIC January looks lovely.

Re: Rosemary's 2016 (lack of) progress
for finally getting the keys to your new house. I remember we talked about your closing on a house almost a year ago when I visited across the pond (OH I so want to go back and see more places and more people) and that had fallen through. You have been so patient. Sounds like you've had so much going on already in 2016, that I am amazed you were able to find time to stitch anything. Your Hardanger looks lovely. Haven't started mine yet so love seeing your beautiful January piece.

Re: Rosemary's 2016 (lack of) progress
Thanks for the lovely comments.
They don't, normally; was supposed to have it before Christmas but it's been rescheduled twice due to "additional crew training requirements". It's still on the roster for tomorrow morning so hopefully third time lucky!Serinde wrote:

Re: Rosemary's 2016 progress - August update
Sneaking back in after a few months away...
Everything's fine, just a combination of being busy and feeling a bit unsure about posting on here so I went away completely for a while. I now feel bad for not keeping up to date with other people's projects and will be catching up over the next few days!
I have still been stitching, mainly on a project that I took over from another forum member (her original thread here) and am about 2/3rds of the way through it now. The aim is to complete so she can have it framed in time to be a Christmas present.
Hope everyone is well, and as always, thanks for looking!

You are making good progress on this project and hope you will keep us up to date on it with lots more updates. It is so good to see you back again. Are you all settled in your new house? Have you been stitching on any other projects besides this one, though if it is to be a Christmas gift I can understand why it is your main focus. Besides that it looks like a fun piece to stitch.

Thanks all, it's lovely to be back, especially seeing everyone else's work.
Yes thank you I am happily settled in now, lots to do in the house and garden but I enjoy all that sort of thing so I'm having fun with it. I've not really done any other stitching apart from Mabel's Hardanger SAL (behind on that too at the moment) and in fact I don't think I've looked at my other projects since I moved. I saw my previous photos when I was uploading yesterday and thought they actually looked ok so definitely looking forward to getting back to them when I finish the pointers.rcperryls wrote:Are you all settled in your new house? Re: Rosemary's 2016 progress - October update
Nearly finished the pointers. I didn't want to unroll it to take a picture of the whole thing so just imagine this bit joined on to the last picture. Should definitely be finished on target - hooray!
Also started to catch up on Mabel's Hardanger SAL which I'll post in that thread, only 4 months behind now!
Thanks for looking.
