Vervaco Secret Stitch 2018

Post by Nicola Main »

Here we go! My first ever Secret Stitch! Have printed off the first part of the chart and I'm ready and raring to go! The colours are just beautiful and the Lilac Sky fabric is so silky and feels so smooth! Wish me luck this is my first time stitching anything on evenweave! :tizzy:

This is what I've done so far! I'm gutted as I'm away all weekend until Sunday night so will have to carry on on Monday. I can't explain to you how beautiful this fabric is it's just amazing and my needle just glides through it! Enjoying doing my first ever evenweave stitches much easier than aida but still finding it strange as aida is such a thicker fabric with not a lot of give in it and this is very floaty. It seems to change colour in the light too, one minute lilac purple as the name suggests but then it sometimes looks more blue :D

Oooooh Nicola I do like that fabric, it really is one of the ncest I've seen.

I had written a reply to your first post and it disappeared into the ether :tantrum:

Your start is brilliant, you have done so much.

A beautiful start, well done.

How exciting to get started on this project. The fabric looks lovely and I'm sure you will do a great job on the evenweave. Once I discovered evenweaves and then linens for cross stitching, I was sold on them. I was going to say that the photo didn't come through and that I couldn't see your start. The weird part is that as I began the reply I looked "down" at the topic review and the picture came through clearly. One of those weird things about computers I guess. So I think you have had a lovely start :applesauce: :applesauce: and will be great all the way through the project!

ps. Now I see it fully in the original thread. I think there is a computer elf playing magical computer tricks on me! :tizzy:

Of course you can stitch beautifully on evenweave Nicola and it is such a fabulous piece of fabric too. Great colours so far and it will all be waiting for you when you get home.

 'my'Kookaburra's laughing his head off over the back fence. Very fitting as I look at your beautiful fabric and great start. :) :)
