Beautiful! and yes, same colour as the background always makes life difficult, especially with dark colours.

Do you find your new floor stand helpful?

A big Thank You to everyone!
Hélène, so far I'm really liking the new stand. It's the first time I'm using one so I still have to figure out how exactly it is best positioned to comfortably work with it for a longer period of time.It is adjustable on a lot of different parts so I think it can be positioned absolutely perfectly, just have to find what I like best.

I decided I need to try and diminuate the amount of my WIPs. Right now I have 8 :tizzy: , which are:

1. Front Porch Paradise by Paula Vaughan
2. Tablecloth with Roses by Schäfer
3. La Cerise by Les Brodeuses Parisiennes
4. Spring Wreath by Riolis
5. Nativity figures from the magazine CrossStitcher
6. Tablecloth with Succulents by Rico
7. Victorian Lavender Scissor Keep by textile heritage
8. Mugs of Warmth by Viktoriya Ivchenko

I can't even put them all in my signature, they're too many. :tizzy:

Have you done any more of the Riolis wreath Sina? I've seen these and they look beautiful xxx

No, I stopped working on it after my last update here, I think. And I don't really see me working on it before the end of winter, unless I decide on implementing some kind of rotation again, which I might do.

Have you found the best position yet? Are you getting used to it?

This is really coming along great Sina! Is it difficult stitching on such a dark fabric?

I have used the stand now quite a lot and I think I have found a position that suits me really well. Definitely better than ever before.

It is! I think on Aida it would be a little easier but on the linen it is really difficult to see the holes. The linen per se is a little bumpy, of course.

I found that putting a white cloth or pillowcase on my lap while stitching helps seeing the holes more clearly on dark evenweave.

It's growing nicely!

I've used a daylight LED light to help with dark colours, but didn't find a white cloth under helped me much on evenweave. :?

I tried using a white cloth, but it didn't really help a lot, unfortunately. But I will be getting an LED/magnifier lamp for my stitch stand so that will make things a lot easier! Right now I am using a daylight bulb in my ordinary lamp, which already helps quite a bit.
